Govt rules out E10 or pure petrol alongside E20
The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas clarified that regular fuel stations will continue selling E20 as the standard petrol, and will not run a parallel retail supply of E10 or pure petrol alongside it at scale.
What this means
If you buy "regular petrol" today in India, you are buying E20. The only widely sold ethanol-free petrol remains premium IndianOil XP100 at limited outlets.
