E20 Service Checklist & Cost Estimator
Own an older (pre-2023) vehicle? The main E20 caveat is possible wear of a few rubber fuel-system parts. This tool gives you the exact checklist and a realistic cost estimate - plus a printable list to hand your mechanic.
What actually needs checking for E20
Government and ARAI testing found that metal and plastic fuel-system parts are fine with E20. The only components that may wear a little faster in older, non-E20 vehicles are certain rubber parts - fuel hoses, seals, gaskets and O-rings. Officials say this replacement is usually needed only once, after roughly 20,000–30,000 km of E20 use, is inexpensive, and can be done during regular servicing.
You don't need a special "E20 kit" for most vehicles. A normal service that includes checking the rubber fuel-system parts is enough. Ask your workshop to use E20-compatible replacement parts.
