KnowYourFuel.in ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we do and don't collect when you use our website and tools.

Our tools run in your browser

The E20 Compatibility Checker and Mileage & Cost Calculator process everything locally in your browser. The vehicle, mileage and price details you enter are not sent to us or stored on any server.

Information we may collect

  • Anonymous analytics: if you accept cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage data (pages viewed, session duration, device type, general region) with IP anonymisation enabled. This cannot identify you personally.
  • Contact emails: if you email us, we receive the details you choose to send.
  • Optional local reports: if you opt in on the Complaint Generator, an anonymous summary may be stored on your device (and, when a backend is connected, in our community tracker). That flow asks for separate consent.

Cookies & consent

When you first visit, a cookie consent banner asks you to Accept or Decline analytics cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you Accept. If you Decline, we do not enable Google Analytics storage. Your choice is remembered in local storage on your device (cookieConsent). Clear site data for knowyourfuel.in to see the banner again.

We do not currently use advertising cookies. Advertising storage remains denied in our consent settings.

Third-party services

We load web fonts (Google Fonts) to render the site. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XT6G71SMGP) under Google's Privacy Policy. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience (vehicle owners) and is not directed at children.

Your choices

Because our tools don't collect personal data, there is nothing tool-related for us to delete. For any email correspondence, you can ask us to delete your message at hello@knowyourfuel.in.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date above will reflect changes.
