Editorial Guidelines

Trust is the whole point of KnowYourFuel.in. These are the standards we hold our content to.

1. Source everything

Claims about E20 - mileage figures, engine effects, policy dates, warranty positions - are drawn from primary and reputable sources: ARAI, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, SIAM, vehicle manufacturers, and established news and survey organisations. We cite them on the page.

2. Separate fact from claim

We clearly distinguish official/lab data (e.g. ARAI's 1–6% mileage figure) from self-reported survey data (e.g. owner-reported drops). We label estimates as estimates.

3. Bust myths responsibly

We call out debunked viral claims (like "ants prove ethanol in fuel") while still respecting the genuine, measurable experiences owners report.

4. Be useful, not sensational

Headlines describe the content honestly. We avoid clickbait and fear-mongering. Every guide aims to help you make a decision.

5. Disclose AI assistance

Our content is produced with AI assistance and reviewed by humans for accuracy and clarity. We publish it because it's genuinely helpful, not to game search rankings.

6. Correct quickly

If we get something wrong, tell us at corrections@knowyourfuel.in and we'll fix it and note the update.

7. Independence

We are not affiliated with any government body, oil company or manufacturer, and we don't take political sides. Our loyalty is to the reader.
